Organization Setup

This guide covers setting up your Datalinx AI organization, configuring settings, and managing organizational resources.

Creating an Organization

Initial Setup

When you first sign up for Datalinx AI, you'll create your organization:

  1. Enter your organization name
  2. Choose a unique organization slug (used in URLs)
  3. Select your primary region
  4. Configure initial settings

Organization URL

Your organization URL follows this pattern:

https://app.datalinx.ai/org/{organization-slug}

Organization Settings

General Settings

Access settings via SettingsOrganization:

Security Settings

Configure organization-wide security policies:

Password Policy

Password Requirements:
Minimum Length: 12
Require Uppercase: true
Require Lowercase: true
Require Numbers: true
Require Special Characters: true
Password Expiry: 90 days
Password History: 5 previous passwords

Session Settings

Session Configuration:
Session Timeout: 60 minutes
Idle Timeout: 15 minutes
Max Concurrent Sessions: 3
Remember Me Duration: 30 days

Multi-Factor Authentication

MFA Settings:
Required for Admins: true
Required for All Users: false
Allowed Methods:
- TOTP (Authenticator App)
- SMS (Enterprise only)
- Hardware Keys (Enterprise only)

Single Sign-On (SSO)

Configure SSO for enterprise authentication:

Configure defaults for new workspaces:

Integration Settings

GitHub Integration

Connect your organization to GitHub:

  1. Navigate to SettingsIntegrationsGitHub
  2. Click Connect GitHub
  3. Authorize Datalinx AI to access your repositories
  4. Select organization and repository access

Audit Logs

Viewing Audit Logs

Access audit logs via SettingsAudit Logs:

  • Filter by user, action type, or date range
  • Export logs for compliance reporting
  • Set up alerts for specific events

Best Practices

Security

  1. Enable MFA for all administrator accounts
  2. Use SSO when available for centralized authentication
  3. Review audit logs regularly for suspicious activity
  4. Rotate API keys and credentials periodically

Organization Structure

  1. Plan workspace organization before creating workspaces
  2. Use consistent naming conventions across workspaces
  3. Document access policies and share with team members
  4. Set up proper role hierarchy from the start
